Forest School
St Saviour’s is blessed with beautiful grounds which house our three alpacas (Captain, Marvin and Marshall), chickens and a Forest School.
Each year group enjoys sessions with a trained ‘Curious Wilds’ Forest School Leader where the children develop a range of skills, build confidence and self esteem and have lots of fun immersing themselves in the outdoors!
Originating in Scandinavia, Forest School is a way of learning in a woodland environment. It offers children a chance to learn about, experience and gain respect for the natural world, whilst developing a range of skills in all areas of learning, in particular those associated with personal, social and emotional development. Children will have the opportunity to take part in den building, hunting for mini beasts, making mud pies and lots of craft activities using natural resources.
